CCC Goes Solo – A Cabaret Evening
I would like to invite you to come and hear me sing SOLO at this very special event.
I will be performing Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me” (made famous by Ella Fitzgerald). This will be an intimate,cabaret-style solo, accompanied only by a grand piano. I’m very excited to be performing in this venue too – It’s a lovely, classy space, in a well known area of the city.
Other individual singers from the Chicago Chamber Choir will perform jazz numbers, pop songs, musical theater numbers, and operetta. There also will be duets, trios and other small ensembles performing cabaret acts. The full choir will open the show with “Grand Night for Singing” and conclude the program with “What a Wonderful World”.
There is no cover to get in, but there will be a suggested donation of $10, plus a chance to enter various raffles. There will be a wine raffle, CD raffle, season subscription raffle, and snacks will be provided. The bar will be open, but you will have to buy your own drinks.
NOTE: The venue is small, with capacity for only 65+. We MAY end up having to create a reservation list – So if you want to come, please let me know, ASAP!! I will put your name down. First come, first served!
This will be a fun evening – a chance to hear the Chicago Chamber Choir singers letting their hair down! And, it’s also a fund-raiser for our upcoming CD recording project!
